The Earth Gratitude project features inspiring sustainability projects and leaders from around the world. We have a 5-part docuseries, free ebooks and so much more that are valuable resources for parents, teachers, educators and anyone wanting to be the change that our planet needs to heal. Check out our Contributors page, where you will see the world leaders, sustainability organizations and extraordinary individuals whom we feature. We are stronger together. Bodhisattva business practices are at the heart of this project (inspired by the late great William Gladstone).
Natalie Pace, Earth Gratitude's co-creator and executive director, first began researching sustainability in 2003. In 2015, her book agent extraordinaire, the legendary William Gladstone, joined forces to create the Earth Gratitude project. Bill brought in Christopher Van Buren, who specializes in picturesque ebooks, marketing and back-office technology. Christopher Van Buren remains the project's co-creator and acting CTO. The first ebook was published in 2016. The project is eternally grateful to Lora O'Connor, who played an important role in securing some key contributors for the 1st ebook. We are honored that H.M. King Charles III contributed to the 2016 Earth Gratitude ebook (when he was H.R.H. The Prince of Wales). Christopher Van Buren also took the lead in the 2026 Earth Gratitude Challenge, 21 days of celebration, inspiration and transformation.
Natalie Pace worked as the producer of two 4-minute Earth Gratitude films with filmmaker Alvin Tam, one of which features Sia's song "Miracle." (Thank you Sia and Jonathan at Crush!)

In 2021, Natalie Pace published the book, The Power of 8 Billion: It's Up to Us. The book features a foreword by EARTHDAY.ORG's president Kathleen Rogers. EARTHDAY.ORG is one of the largest and most influential sustainability organizations in the world, and was founded on the original Earth Day in 1970. Each Earth Day (April 22), The Power of 8 Billion has been #1 in its vertical on Amazon (2021-2026).
Cyrus Gladstone (Bill's son) created the first Earth Gratitude logo and online store. Bill also brought in his wife Gayle Gladstone in 2022, who has been a strategic advisor. Gayle and her son, Sean Newhouse, created the current Earth Gratitude logo in 2025.
The Earth Gratitude 5- part docuseries was published in 2023. Actress/speaker/author/singer Brianna Brown Keen is the host of the docuseries, featuring eco kids, student gardens, animals, rainforest conservation, Africa, regenerative agriculture, everyday sustainability and the power of gratitude.
The Earth Gratitude 21-day Challenge is an ongoing email campaign to encourage all of us to celebrate, inspire and transform one another.
On Earth Day April 22nd, we all show gratitude for the planet that gives us life. However, the other 364 days are when the real work begins. If you're interested in being the change we wish to see, learn more about how to live a more eco-friendly life in the Earth Gratitude resources and read The Power of 8 Billion: It's Up to Us. Some of us are taking a personal challenge of reducing our CO2 footprint by 30% each year. Join us! (Americans, Australians, Canadians and people living in the Middle East have a CO2 footprint per capita that is 3X as large as many Europeans. Africans have a rounding error of our CO2 footprint.)
